Come and play on resurfaced and enlarged Fields #1 & #2! Both fields are now complete.
The Oakwood Sports Center of Glastonbury has enlarged fields #1 & #2 up to the dimensions of 175' x 100', adding over 5,000 square feet of playing surface. The fields are 15% larger with new width to open up the flow of the game. Each field is still enclosed with dasher-boards and plexiglas to allow for continuous fast indoor play and guarantee less out-of-bound stoppages. In addition, new state-of-the-art monofilament in filled artificial turf has been installed by Soccer Systems, Inc, a national leader in the indoor turf industry for over 25 years. The new top-of-the-line turf will feature latex and metal free in filled rubber (no old tires used). The surface feels and plays like real grass.
