2024 SUMMER TRAINING PROGRAM

JUNE 24 - AUGUST 1

Designed for players whose objective is to enjoy Summer training, during weekdays, and at a high level maintaining a competitive edge in preparation for the upcoming Fall season. GTI (Group Training Intelligence) promotes group training in smaller pods and also individual development with a curriculum that covers all phases of the game.
 
In addition, our players participate in 5 competitive special events that will be enjoyable and continue development during the summertime.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

  • 6 Weeks of Training (12 Training Sessions, Mondays and Wednesdays, 5:00pm - 6:30pm

  • 2x 1.5-hour Weekly Training Sessions (GK Training included)

  • 5 Special Events most on Thursday nights

OPEN TO: All Boys & Girls Regardless of Club Affiliation Born Between 2016 and 2009

  • GTI Summer Training Program is a supplemental Summer training program and does not conflict with any Club participation. 

  • All current Oakwood SC Players are automatically eligible for the program

  • Kick off: June 24 – August 1, 2024

  • Location: Oakwood Soccer Park: 521 Glastonbury Tpk, Portland, CT

  • *Inclement Weather Location: 40 Oakwood Drive Glastonbury, CT

SPECIAL EVENTS (Thursdays Nights 5 - 6:30pm / 6:30 - 8pm / 8 - 9:30pm)

  • Open Play Day - July 27

  • Friendly Matches -  July 18 & Aug 1

  • 3v3 Tournament - July 11

  • Foot Golf Day - July 25
