Concept:
To provide the best possible training environment for players ages 6-8.  Emphasis is on skill development and developing proper training habits.  Sessions will be under the direction of Oakwood Directors of Coaching Rick Derella and Dave Farrell.

Training Specifics:
Tues & Thurs 5pm-630pm plus matches on Saturday mornings at 815am - 10am
All trainings will be held at the TD Bank Oakwood Soccer Park in Portland
The Soccer Park features artificial turf & lights; 521 Glastonbury Tpke, Portland, CT
or at the Oakwood Sports Center in Glastonbury (INDOOR) 40 Oakwood drive, Glastonbury, CT

Playing Level:
Suggested for players with a strong athletic basis.
Selections will be made on your childs engagement in the match on a skillfull, physical & mental basis.

♦ Rick Derella - USSF A License; Director of Coaching Oakwood SC; Connecticut Soccer Hall of Fame; All-Ivy selection at Cornell; Owner-Oakwood Sports Center, 30+ years coaching youth soccer.
♦ Dave Farrell - USSF A License; Director of Coaching Oakwood SC; Connecticut Soccer Hall of Fame; Former professional player with Cleveland Cobras, Former Connecticut ODP Director, Owner-Oakwood Sports Center.
♦ Bob Saucier - USSF D License; Current Oakwood U-11B Coach; Current Oakwood U-16G Coach.
♦ Lauren Aldred - 4 year starter University of Hartford; Current Assistant Coach University of Hartford Women; Current Oakwood U-17G Head Coach.
♦ Anthony Miller - USSF License; Current Oakwood U-14B & U-15B Pre-Academy Coach; Current Oakwood U-14G Coach.

Spring 2011 Fee:
$395 - 26 trainings/matches plus Oakwood equipment (2 shirts, shorts, socks, and ball)

Fall 2011 Tryouts:
Tryouts Approx June 14 & 16
Twice a week training plus once a week games.
both tryouts at TD Bank Soccer Soccer Park

Winter 2011-12:
Check back for specifics.  One training and one match per week plus holiday tournaments.
