Oakwood Programs and Facility:
The Oakwood Sports Center conducts indoor soccer tournaments throughout
the year. Special tournaments such as the Oakwood Premier Indoor
and the Pro/Collegiate/Club Tournament are also slated for the winter.
Oakwood offers two full-size playing fields measuring
up to 185'x100'. Field #3 is 120'x70' (Generally
teams U11 and under play on field #3). Each field is complete with
new turf and dasher boards, stadium lighting, regulation goals,
nets and electronic scoreboards. Come watch the games through the panoramic viewing glass in the newly remodeled CrossBar. The CrossBar is equipped with 3 flat screen TV's, a full service
snack bar, and adult beverages. Balcony viewing is also available on the decks that overlook Fields 1 & 2.
Additional Programs:
Year round adult leagues run every 8 weeks - Two sessions of Youth
Leagues (8 game guarantee) run in the winter - Young Stars Match League
for individual Boy's and Girl's 7-12 - Clinics conducted by Select
Soccer Academy staff for Boy's and Girl's 31/2-18 - Indoor soccer

Holiday Tournaments:
Three game guarantee. New this year All Games are one 26 minute
period, scheduled every half hour. Maximum roster size is 16 players
for youth teams and 14 players for adult teams. Teams play six-a-side* (five field players plus a goalkeeper) except U-12 and COED. These divisions play seven-a-side (6 + keeper for U-12; 3 men, 3 women,
+ goalkeeper for COED). Laws of the game are similar to Professional
Indoor Rules. College and Premier Invitational formats differ in
game length and roster size.
*The U-11 tournaments that take place on Fields 1 & 2 play 7 a side
Youth Levels Of
Play:
To increase competition, levels of play have been established.
Level 1 - premier and strong club teams.
Level 2 - Younger teams playing up, club and travel teams.
Level 1 and 2 tournaments may be combined between Hamden
and Glastonbury.

Application
Info:
Divisions are set up
on a first-paid basis. Application deadline is typically 3 weeks
prior to the event. Applications
received after the deadline will be accepted based on availability.
Teams may call regarding acceptance and schedules one week prior
to the tournament. Dates and times are subject to change. Confirmation
letter, roster sheet, rules and a schedule will follow accepted
applications.
Youth
Insurance Fee:
Connecticut Junior Soccer Association requires all Connecticut
Youth players to register for indoor insurance for a nominal fee.
Out of state teams must provide USYSA proof of registration and
permission to travel forms.
Club
Rules:
No food or beverage may be brought into the building. No gum chewing
or smoking. Shinguards are mandatory. All youth teams must have
an adult coach present. Please no exceptions!
Directions
to Oakwood-Glastonbury:
From I-84: take exit
55 (Route 2 East) to exit 8 (Hebron Ave., Rt 94). Make a left
at the end of the exit. Travel 1/2 mile and make a right onto
Oakwood Drive, we are the first driveway on the left.
From I-91: take exit
25, (Route 3) to Route 2 East, then follow above directions to
Oakwood.
